A Day In The Life
TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS CONSULTANT
ImageNet Office Systems
Getting Started
7:30 – Good morning! How about getting an early start with a cup of coffee at Starbucks ($2.50) or free at the office? If I get in before 8:00, I can plan the events of the day with my early rising Document Solutions Consultant. There are accounts that need printing analysis done and a better way to route documents throughout their office and network.
Morning
8:30 –My first Needs Analysis begins at SMU today. We are looking at how bills get from various parts of the campus to payables for payment. Currently they are being transported by hand or fax. How about looking into a way that they could be scanned and routed through the proper channels without ever touching the document after scanning?
Lunch
12:00 – Grab a quick lunch and get back to the office to prepare for a Laser Fiche seminar.
Afternoon
1:30 – Document Management Seminar. I am handling questions from IT managers, CFOs and CIOs regarding how the software can work in their current environment. Actual software demonstration is taking place and businesses are seeing how they can recreate the way they do business, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.
3:00 – A potential customer that attended the seminar asks for a Needs Analysis on site.
4:00 – After planning for the meeting with the customer, I finish the day with my Document Solutions
Consultant at a major account. We are proposing the final installation of Hardware and Software to
improve the business’s processes.
5:00 – The order was signed and we are on our way to the bank!
I love this job!
